Just like the old 'tasty toasty'
Date: 22 October 2009
This is just like the one we had when I was a child in the 60s. It seems smaller, but maybe that's because I'm bigger now! Wastes a bit of bread from round the edges (best to use sliced bread) but the birds love the nibbles. Good fun & yummy moist middles.

As someone who goes camping a lot it's easy to get bored or the same burnt food you can cook over a fire..
Took the diablo with us one weekend and were the envy of the whole campsite with our cheese toasties made in minutes!! And to make things even better works just as well over a hob at home!
The Diablo comes with some awesome recipes included too.. although can't beat a cheese and ham toastie.
Easy to use, easy to clean easy to store.. I have absolutely no negatives about this product - it is my purchase of the year 09!
Thanks IWOOT for introducing me to the campers perfect dream!

My husband goes fishing and it is difficult to find food he can cook and it gets boring eating the same thing each week. I found an article in the Sunday Mirror, ordered the item, which arrived the next day. My husband took it fishing filled it with cheese and ham and hasn't stopped raving about it. It is like a mini sandwich toaster. He can put various fillings in it and we are trying to come up with some different ones to the recipe book supplied.

I had a similar version of the Diablo Sandwich maker years ago when I was a kid-but the modern twist has really made it so much better. It's easy to clean-and is an absolute must if you're a "dippy" egg fan-something that just can't be done in the plug in sandwich toasters. At the moment I'm trialling various recipes-both savoury and sweet-and must admit to enjoy being a guinea pig as I munch my way though the options that I have come up with. Get the settings right on the hob-and you'll have a crispy golden toasted outside and a mouthwatering inside that's great for a quick snack. It takes me back to when my dear old mum would wait on me hand and foot, presenting me with this circular toasted treat.
